What we ask for, and when
Each person answers their own questionnaire, from a personal link. We ask for a document only when what they declared makes it relevant: a pensioner is never asked for a payslip, nor an employee for form E3 or E2. Who is involved in a case.
The tenant
The steps can be done in any order: everything is saved as they go, and they can come back later. The first two are required; a previous-landlord reference is optional but strongly recommended. Each co-tenant answers the same, with their own link.

Previous landlord reference
OptionalTyped in
- Their own AFM (Greek tax number), checked against the Greek mod-11 rule
- For each past tenancy: in Greece or abroad, and whether the landlord was a private person or a company
Each tenancy agreement gets a unique link, which the tenant sends to the previous landlord themselves; a company receives it from us, once we have checked the signed consent form. How the reference is checked.
Guarantor
OptionalIf someone guarantees the rent, the tenant adds them and sends them their personal link; we do not message them ourselves.
Typed in
- The guarantor's full name and email, and optionally their mobile
- Acceptance of the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy
To submit, they consent to their details and documents being processed for the assessment and accept the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
The guarantor
Only if requestedThe guarantor opens the link the tenant sends once they have added them. Two steps, with exactly the same questions and documents as the tenant's; no previous-landlord reference is asked.

The previous landlord
Only if there is a past tenancyThe previous landlord opens the personal link they receive and fills in a short form, with no account and no password.
Typed in
- Their full name — or, for a company, its registered name, as on the tenancy agreement
- Their AFM (the company's, if a company), for a tenancy in Greece only; stored only as a one-way digest, never as a number
- Email (required) and phone (optional), only for clarifications about the reference
- How the tenancy went: one to five stars on each of:
- Paid the rent on time
- Paid the bills and service charges
- Looked after the property
- Communicated well
- Optionally, anything else worth knowing
- Their consent for RentAssured to contact them about the reference
Uploaded
- Landlord's ID documentIf a private individual; deleted as soon as the check is doneA photo of an ID card, passport or driving licence
- Landlord's AADE registry certificateOptional, for a tenancy in GreecemyAADE
The reference counts towards the score only once our team has checked the landlord's identity details against the tenancy agreement — see how. Anyone who was not this person's landlord can say so, without answering.
Every source of income has its own documents
Each job, pension or rented property is declared separately, with its own amount and its own documents; someone can be an employee, a pensioner and a landlord at once. We do not assume Greek tax residence: the country of each source only changes the examples we show.

A tax document from the country where the person pays tax is always asked for, showing all their declared income together (in Greece, the Εκκαθαριστικό). If there is none yet — for example they have just moved country or started working — 6 months of bank statements are asked for instead.
